Personally If I was there playing some instruments and then a random dudes offers me KFC chicken I probably wouldn't turn him down lol...But the context of the commerical and the setting could be seen as racist. But I'd like to hear your view and see what you think about the Commercial. BTW why does the Aussie KFC fries look like Mcdonalds, smh @ the fact they don't have wedges. Share Your Two Cents!
Come on now white guy surrounded by a bunch of black people and he feeding them chicken....not only is this racist it is a perfect illustration of a type of slavery...white men giving a handout, black people taking handout, black people regressing (and in this case getting fat!)

ReplyDeleteLol, that's so true...Just the way the context of is put, where this man is relaxing and surrounded by black people just dancing and singing, and he decides this is an unacceptable situation and offers them chicken. Personally he may have just had some chicken and was being nice in offering them something to eat, although his statement of feeling uncomfortable begs to differ...I just don't see how realistically chicken is suppose to solve that situation, if there's a situation at all, and why didn't he just leave. I mean I know it's a commercial, but having chicken calm the black rowdy folks down seems a little degrading, but what's your thoughts....on a side note I would definitely take the chicken lol.
